Kirbie moved west after graduating from Texas Christian University, where she received a B.S. in Advertising & PR from the Bob Schieffer School of Journalism. Kurtis Rayfield

Sports Performance Coach

Kurtis is an ambitious reader (and coach) when it comes to strength and conditioning and physical preparation. He has a particular interest in Eastern Bloc and Soviet methods of physical preparation. However, reads nearly anything related to improvement of athletic performance. He has spent time coaching at all levels of competition with athletes from a vast array of sporting disciplines. Kurtis graduated from University of Wisconsin – La Crosse (UW – L) with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning. While studying at UW – L he worked in the strength centers and volunteered at Winona State University. Following his undergraduate studies, he interned at the University of Pittsburgh (under Buddy Morris and James Smith), interned for a year with the Chicago Bulls during their 62-20 season and Eastern Conference Championship debut since the M.J. left in ’98 (under Erik Helland), spent a short time volunteering with the University of Wisconsin Hockey, is currently a graduate assistant Sports Performance Coach at Stanford University and is working on his Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from San Jose State University.
